Exploring SYSMOD with SysML v2
I plan a new blog post series about the application of the MBSE methodology SYSMOD using SysML v2. This series will walk you through the methodology step by step, offering a look at how SYSMOD can be applied with SysML v2, including any adjustments or enhancements made along the way.
Why This Series?
Many have asked me about the future of SYSMOD and its compatibility with SysML v2. I can confirm that I am planning to publish a new version of the SYSMOD book for SysML v2. However, I currently have another high-priority project: collaborating with Vince Molnar to write a comprehensive textbook on SysML v2. Our goal is to provide a thorough resource for both new and experienced systems engineers who want to deepen their knowledge of this updated modeling language.
What to Expect from the Blog Series
This series will present SYSMOD for SysML v2 step by step, providing practical examples, modeling tips, and insights into the methodology’s adaptations. Each post will build upon the last, guiding through the nuances of integrating SYSMOD with SysML v2.
Stay tuned for the first (real) post of the series, and please feel free to reach out with any questions, feedback, or requests for changes in SYSMOD.
